Biography
Andrew J. Doster, Ed. D. is an education expert with over 26 years of experience in public education, and over 19 years in administration. He currently serves as a superintendent of schools. His previous experience in education encompasses roles as an elementary and middle school teacher, a building principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and a director of elementary education and curriculum development. Dr. Doster has also served as the head varsity wrestling coach and an assistant coach for the varsity track and field team, both at the high school level. He was a Division I athlete in the sport of wrestling.
Dr. Doster employs his expertise across all aspects of public education, K–12, to ensure the well-being, safety, and welfare of the entire educational environment, including academic programming and daily operational activities. His areas of specialization encompass supervision and evaluation, emergency response procedures, human resources, special education, 504 plans, public school policies, harassment prevention, facilities management, curriculum development, athletics and coaching, public school counseling, recruitment and hiring processes, public school board hearings, employee discipline and termination, as well as fiscal planning.
Dr. Doster is the superintendent of schools in the School District of the Borough of Morrisville. He oversees the daily management and operations of the entire district, from the classroom level to central office administration. He also collaborates with the school board of directors, district solicitors, and local politicians, focusing on adherence to school board policies and school laws.
Before his current role, he served as a Director of Elementary Education and Curriculum for the Easton Area School District. He was responsible for overseeing seven elementary schools and the 6th grade in the middle school. This included, but was not limited to, supervising all administration (K–6), programming and curriculum, agency and community partnerships, employee discipline, and data analysis presentations at public school board meetings.
Dr. Doster’s prior leadership positions included roles as an elementary principal, a middle school principal, and a junior/senior high school principal. His teaching experience was at the middle school level, where he taught 6th and 8th grades. Throughout his career, Dr. Doster also served as a head varsity wrestling coach and an assistant varsity track and field coach.
He earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership, K – 12, from Wilkes University. He successfully defended his research and dissertation, earning a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, K – 12 from Delaware Valley University. He holds active teaching certificates for Pennsylvania in Elementary Education (K–6), Mid-Level English (6 –9), Principal (K–12), and Superintendent Letter of Eligibility (K–12), and received his commission from the State of Pennsylvania in April 2024.
